Terrific 50s Sports Watch - Steel Zodiac Auto with signed, riveted original bracelet
Your Tudor Prince or Rolex Air-King has got nothing on this one... Stainless steel case is 37mm by 41mm and is very crisp, with a tight screwback, nice turned teardrop lugs, smooth finish bezel and its immaculate original signed Zodiac crown. Case back is even signed with logos with new gaskets and seals. Dial is a fabulous white factory spec re-dial, with silver markers as original. Hands are original silver and white with sweep second hand in silver - all still a terrific match. 17 jewel Zodiac automatic movement runs very well. Still even has the original glass crystal. If we stopped right there this would be a terrific watch, but it is also fortunate to have its original, steel, signed Zodiac bracelet - a dead ringer for the Rolex Oyster bracelet of the period. Logo is on the three piece clasp like the Rolex, with rivets on the sides of each link. Additionally, this bracelet is an even rarer model with an added flex feature between each link - all in terrific shape and not stretched as many are. To find this watch with its bracelet still in such excellent shape is a treat. Zodiac as a company has just been sold and that likely means it will not be producing sports watches of this caliber again. So, this is a great collectors piece as well as a great choice for everyday. Reference Number: ZOD - 11

Fabulous gentleman's sporting watch from Universal Geneve
This late 40s/early 50s model is an unusual one from Universal. Three piece stainless case is terrific, with a strong snap on back, large turned lugs and a thinness rare for its time. 35mm by 41mm. Original crown, crystal and clear case numerals on the reverse. A few surface scratches on the back are the only flaw, and we didn't see any reason to polish them out! Even the sides of the case center retain their original, engine turned finish, contrasting with the bright lug tops. Nice! And a show of how well cared for and lightly used this watch was. Two-piece dial is one we've never seen before, with an inner bezel that is part of the case. Both pieces are finished in silver, with simple black numerals, and the outer pieces features a crystal clear black minutes meter. Original blue steel hands and large seconds dial finish the handsome package.17 jewel manual wind movement is a classic and keeping great time. This is a very sharp watch, and one that is comfortable with everything from a grosgrain band and jeans to a crocodile strap and tuxedo. Subtle, simple, tough - a great combination.

Sought after Omega PiePan Constellation in Rare Stainless Steel!
When you speak of Omegas nothing beats a Constellation, and it is mighty tough to find them in sparking stainless steel. Well. as they say in parts of Switzerland, VOILA! This late 50s/early 60s model is terrific, with an exceptionally clean steel case, desirable cushion details around the perimeter and a very crisp constellation and stars logo on the reverse. 37mm by 41mm. Note the thick, angled lugs and signed crown as well - this one has all the desirable options. Dial is the sought after piepan, in crisp silver/white with silver/black markers. Dial is fabulous, too, right down to the applied silver logo and "Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified" under 12, silver star above six, and white/black hands to match the markers. Date window at three, glass Omega crystal, finished with a black crocodile strap. Movement is simply top of the line, keeping wonderful time. This is a watch that is a keeper for any hobbiest. It's just elegant on the wrist, and its understated strength makes a statement far beyond glitzy gold and jewels. And, if you still wear a proper suit or jacket to work much of the time, you'll love the way this watch fits right in. One we're proud to offer... Reference Number: OMG - 28

Love Pink/Rose/Coral gold, but like a subtle look in your watches? Then this is the one.
Presenting a fine rose gold and stainless steel Omega Constellation from the 1950s. Constellations are the Cadillacs of the Omega line, and rose gold only adds uniqueness to the model. The case is terrific and is the most desirable of the 50s designs, with the center cushion and graceful curved and turned lugs. 37mm by 43mm, with a solid rose gold bezel, rose lug tops and even the constellation and stars logo on the reverse is rose. Fabulous. Steel back is a very tight screwback and is crisp, and the rose constellation and stars logo shows a bit of wear but is still quite nice. Dial is original and is a perfect fit, in a champagne with rose markers, hands, rose star above six and rose logos under 12. Only flaw is a lone cloud just above the dial center, but still far too good to refinish. Marked "Certified Chronometer" under 12, too. Case also features a signed, perfectly matched steel crown and a beautiful glass crystal. Movement is the top of the line Constellation automatic, running fabulously. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! This package is made even better with the original Omega box, in aged red leather and gold. And, best of all, she's fitted with a wonderful shell cordovan strap that looks like the 50s original with a solid rose gold Omega buckle. Simply beautiful details! Our frequent customers over the years have read of our interest in rose or coral gold watches, which we believe are increasingly rare and represent a key collecting opportunity. Combine that with the quality of Omega, you have a real catch, indeed. Reference Number: OMG - 29

The timekeeping equivalent of a 1930s Chrysler Airflow!
A terrific timepeice from Bulova here is a 30s "Right Angle." Gold filled case is just terrific, with an asymetrical shape, stepped sides and a curved back. 26mm by 39mm. Dial is flawless, in a factory spec silver with gold numerals, hands and details. Original crown, original glass crystal, very nice early 17 jewel manual wind movement. This watch is known for its case design, which - like streamlined evhicles of the era - is taller at the top, sloping and thinning as it rounds down to the bottom of the case. This case has lots of hihg points and curve, so it is ussually found in worn condition and in need of restoration. NOT SO THIS ONE! Case is just terrific, all the original details are there and it is wonderful on the wrist. And, we're not ones for excessive display, but a black swede strap does look great on it and we have one here. This watch was stylish in it's time and has never looked more so! Champagne Tastes on a Cold Beer Budget! Wonderful flared case tank watch from Wittnauer
Talk about a great value! Take a look at this terrific watch from Longines sporty partner brand Wittnauer. Early 50s vintage, with a gold filled case that is fabulous. 25mm by 37mm, with grand and glorious curved, thick lugs and a large, square center. Wondeful condition, and from two feet away looks like a Vacheron or Universal of the era. All original elsewhere, too - from the thick, cut glass crystal, crown, hands, white dial, etc. Excellent condition all over. Even the lugs tips arew crisp, unusual on a watch with this many leading edges. Manual wind 17 jewel movement is a great timekeeper, and is one of Longines/Wittnauer's better models with not many hours logged! A confession for you - I've been wearing this watch with a black lizard strap lately, and I've gotten more comments than I do with my Rolex or Omegas! Great bang for the buck here...
